BILINGUAL BLOG – ENGLISH BELOW

Helo Bawb

Diolch yn fawr am fynychu’r cyfarfod i rieni a disgyblion blwyddyn 11, 12 a 13 neithiwr. Roedd yn braf gweld bod cynifer ohonoch ar-lein yn cefnogi addysg eich plentyn. Fel y clywsoch, mae’n gyfnod anodd a chymhleth i ni gyd.

Dyma’r diweddaraf i chi yn sgil ein cyfarfod neithiwr.

Ein Gwefan Asesiadau

https://sites.google.com/hwbcymru.net/asesiadau2021broedern/hafan

Yma ar y wefan, fe welwch yr holl gynlluniau asesu ar gyfer pob pwnc ym Mro Edern sy’n cael ei reoleiddio yng Nghymru gan CBAC a Chymwysterau Cymru. Fel y gwyddoch, rydyn ni’n dal i aros am fanylion y pynciau sy’n cael eu rheoleiddio gan Ofqual yn Lloegr. Mae cynllun asesu’r ysgol gyda CBAC ar hyn o bryd ac rydyn ni’n disgwyl adborth ar ôl y Pasg. Hefyd ar y wefan fe welwch frasluniau asesiadau’r ysgol fesul blwyddyn, wedi cael eu mapio dros batrwm pythefnosol. Mae’r union ddyddiadau ar ClassCharts.

ClassCharts

Heddiw, fel rhan o’r Diwrnod HMS, rydyn ni wedi gofyn i bob athro/awes roi manylion pob asesiad ar ClassCharts, er mwyn i rieni fedru eu gweld. Roedd hwn yn dipyn o job, fel y gallech ddychmygu! Maen nhw wedi cael eu gosod o dan ‘Homework’ gyda’r dyddiad y cynhelir yr asesiad yn ymddangos fel dyddiad cau’r gwaith cartref. O dan yr amseriad, mae’n dangos i chi sawl munud fydd yr asesiad yn para o fewn y wers (nid faint o adolygu sydd angen). Nid yw’r manylion hyn yn cynnwys unrhyw amser ychwanegol. Bydd yr amser ychwanegol yn cael ei ychwanegu ar gyfer disgyblion sy’n medru ei hawlio. Hefyd fe gewch fanylion am adolygu angenrheidiol ac am natur y daflen A4 y bydd disgyblion yn ei pharatoi mewn gwersi, neu’n ei derbyn gan eu hathrawon. Hefyd, mae’n nodi os nad oes modd cymryd taflen A4 i’r asesiad.

Rydym ni’n awgrymu’n gryf fod pob disgybl yn trosglwyddo’r wybodaeth o ClassCharts i’w hamserlen bersonol. Dylai pob disgybl fod wedi dechrau creu’r amserlen yr wythnos hon, ac fe allant nawr lenwi unrhyw fylchau. Fel hyn, fe allant weld y sefyllfa fesul diwrnod ac wythnos, er mwyn iddynt fedru trefnu eu gwaith paratoi.

Dyma gopi gwag o’r amserlen, i ddisgyblion ei agor yn eu Google Drive, os nad ydynt eisoes wedi creu un. Mae’r linc yn creu copi personol i bawb sy’n ei agor:

Ar ClassCharts ni fyddwch yn awtomatig yn gweld yr asesiadau i gyd, oherwydd mae rhai ohonynt yn rhy bell i’r dyfodol. Mae modd newid yr opsiynau er mwyn gweld dyddiadau’r 90 diwrnod nesaf, drwy wasgu’r botwm hwn:

Gobeithio y bydd yr wybodaeth hon yn ateb y cwestiynau a gododd yn y cyfarfod neithiwr.

Os oes unrhyw gwestiynau pellach, croeso i chi gysylltu gyda phennaeth blwyddyn eich plentyn ar ôl gwyliau’r Pasg.

Cofiwch fod gan bawb tan ddiwedd mis Mawrth i orffen Pererindod Dewi Sant – mae nifer wedi “cyrraedd” Tyddewi’n barod. Digon o awyr iach!

Pob dymuniad da i chi dros y gwyliau

Hello Everyone

Thanks so much for attending the meeting for year 11, 12 and 13 pupils and parents last night. It was great to see so many of you online, supporting your child’s education. As you heard, it is a difficult and complicated time for us all.

Here is the latest information, following last night’s meeting …

Our Assessment Website

https://sites.google.com/hwbcymru.net/asesiadau2021broedern/hafan

On our website you will find all the assessment plans for each Bro Edern subject regulated in Wales by WJEC and Qualifications Wales. As you know, we are still awaiting assessment details for the subjects regulated by Ofqual in England. Our whole-school assessment plan is currently being verified by WJEC and we are expecting feedback after the Easter holidays. The Welsh copy submitted to WJEC is on the website (feel free to send your child to read it!), and it will be translated for parents once it has been verified. Also on the website you will find an overview of our school assessments, year by year, mapped fortnightly. The exact dates of all assessments are on ClassCharts.

ClassCharts

Today, as part of our Inset Day, taking a slight diversion from our original plans, we have asked all teachers to upload details of all assessments on ClassCharts, in order for our parents to see. This was quite a job, as you could imagine! Assessment details have been set under ‘Homework’ with the assessment date appearing as the homework deadline. Under the “time” it shows you how many minutes every assessment lasts within lessons (not how much revision is needed). These timings do not include additional time – these will be added for those pupils who are entitled to additional time. You will also find details of necessary revision and the nature of the A4 sheet that pupils may use in their assessments. They will either prepare these A4 sheets in lessons with their teachers, or receive them from their teachers. Also, ClassCharts will note whether it is not allowed to take an A4 sheet into an assessment.

We highly recommend that all pupils transfer the assessment information from ClassCharts to their personal timetable immediately. All pupils should have started creating their timetable this week, and can now fill in any gaps. This way, pupils can see their situation on a daily and weekly basis, in order to help with their assessment preparation.

Here is a blank copy of the timetable, for pupils to open in their Google Drive, if they have not yet created one. This link creates a personal copy for everyone who opens it:

On ClassCharts, you won’t automatically see all assessments, because some are too far in the future. You can change from the custom setting to extend it to the next 90 days by pressing this button:

We hope that this information answers many of the questions raised in the meeting last night.

If you have any further questions, please contact your child’s Head of Year afer the Easter holidays.

Remember that everyone has until the end of March – next week – to complete the St David’s Pilgrimage – a number of pupils and teachers have already “reached” St Davids.

Best wishes over the holidays
