Annwyl Bawb

Dyma ni, unwaith eto yr wythnos hon gyda’r diweddaraf o Fro Edern!

Achosion Positif

Cawsom wybod bore heddiw fod dau achos positif o COVID-19 ym mlwyddyn 9. Rydym eisoes wedi gofyn i ddisgyblion blwyddyn 9 hunan ynysu tra rydym yn gwneud ymholiadau i gysylltiadau’r ddau achos. Maen nhw ar ddwy ochr wahanol y flwyddyn ac mae ganddynt gysylltiadau gwahanol. Erbyn hyn mae pawb sydd angen hunan ynysu ym mlwyddyn 9 wedi derbyn llythyr yn nodi hynny, ynghyd â’r dyddiad olaf ar gyfer hunan ynysu. Mae dau lythyr gwahanol gyda dyddiadau sy’n berthnasol i’r ddau achos gwahanol. Os nad ydych wedi derbyn llythyr drwy neges destun Teachers2Parents, yna nid oes angen i’ch plentyn hunanynysu – onibai i’ch plentyn deithio ar yr 815 – gweler isod. Dyma’r prif benawdau:

Disgybl A

Mae cysylltiadau Disgybl A angen hunanynysu tan nos Sul 20fed, ac felly fe gânt adael y tŷ ar yr 21ain unwaith eto.

Disgybl B

Mae cysylltiadau Disgybl B angen hunanynysu tan nos Lun 21ain, ac felly fe gânt adael y tŷ ar yr 22ain unwaith eto.

Mae’r holl awdurdodau’n gytûn yn y ddau achos ein bod wedi adnabod cysylltiadau’r ddau ddisgybl ac nad oes angen i unrhyw un sydd heb dderbyn llythyr fod yn hunan ynysu. Unwaith eto, rydyn ni’n dilyn canllawiau Tracio ac Olrhain yn ofalus ac yn cydweithredu gyda’r sir a’r gwybodusion yn Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru er mwyn amddiffyn holl deulu Bro Edern.

Teithiodd Disgybl A adref o Fro Edern bnawn Iau ar y bws 815. Golyga hyn y bydd angen i’r disgyblion oedd ar lawr gwaelod yr 815 bnawn Iau hunanynysu am 10 diwrnod – rydyn ni’n gwybod hyn yn bendant. Golyga hyn nad all y disgyblion hyn adael y tŷ am 10 diwrnod, gyda dydd Iau yn cael ei gyfri yn ddiwrnod 0, felly gall disgyblion adael y tŷ ddydd Llun Rhagfyr 21. Gallwn ond ymddiheuro am rywbeth sydd, yn amlwg, y tu hwnt i’n rheolaeth.

Er mwyn i ni gael gwybod pa ddisgyblion oedd ar lawr gwaelod yr 815, a wnewch chi lenwi hwn i ni gael cofnod o bwy sydd angen aros yn y tŷ er mwyn i ni roi gwybod i’r awdurdodau.

Cyngerdd Nadolig

Diolch i bawb am eu holl ymateb positif i eitem gyntaf ein cyngerdd Nadolig neithiwr. Mae Jake yn dipyn o seren!

Ail eitem ein cyngerdd yw Eiriana, hefyd o flwyddyn 12, yn perfformio carol gan John Rutter. Mwynhewch y perfformiad bendigedig hwn:

Diolch i chi am eich cefnogaeth barhaus i’r ysgol yn ystod y cyfnod cythryblus hwn.

Pob dymuniad da

Dear Everyone

Here we go again this week, with the latest from Bro Edern!

Positive Cases

We were informed this morning that there are two positive cases of COVID-19 in year 9. We have already asked year 9 pupils to self isolate while we identified the potential contacts of the two cases. They are on two different sides of the year and with different contacts. Everyone who needs to self-isolate in year 9 has now received a letter stating this, together with the date of the last day for self isolation. There are two different letters with dates relevant to the different cases. If you have not received a text message through Teachers2Parents this afternoon, your child does not need to self isolate – unless they travelled on the 815 bus – please see below. Here are the headlines:

Pupil A

Contacts of Pupil A need to self isolate until Sunday night 20th, and they may leave the house again on the 21st.

Pupil B

Contacts of Pupil B need to self isolate until Monday night 21st, and they may leave the house again on the 22nd.

The authorities agree in both cases that we have identified the contacts of the two pupils and that anyone who has not received a letter does not need to self-isolate. As usual, we follow the Track and Trace guidelines carefully and are cooperating with the county and experts at Public Health Wales to protect the whole Bro Edern family.

Pupil A travelled home from Bro Edern on Thursday afternoon on the 815 bus. This means that the pupils on the ground floor of the 815 bus that afternoon will need to self-isolate for 10 days – we know this for sure. This means that these pupils cannot leave the house for 10 days, with Thursday being counted as day 0, so pupils can leave the house on Monday December 21. We can only apologise for something that is clearly beyond in our control.

In order for us to find out which pupils were on the ground floor of 815, please fill in this form for us to have a record of who needs to self-isolate so that we can inform the authorities:

Christmas Concert

Thanks for all your positive comments about the first item in our Christmas Concert, launched last night. Jake is a true star!

Our second item is Eiriana, also from year 12, singing a carol by John Rutter. Enjoy this fantastic performance:

Thank you for your continued support for the school during this turbulent time.
