Helo Bawb

Gair cyflym gyda’r diweddaraf o Fro Edern a hithau’n bnawn dydd Gwener. Gobeithio eich bod i gyd yn iawn.

Clywsom yn ystod y bore heddiw fod achos positif o COVID-19 ymhlith un cynorthwy-ydd dosbarth. Mae’r aelod hwn o staff yn gweithio gyda blwyddyn 8. Rydyn ni’n dilyn canllawiau Tracio ac Olrhain yn ofalus ac yn cydweithredu gyda’r sir a’r gwybodusion yn Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru er mwyn amddiffyn holl deulu Bro Edern.

Dyma’r sefyllfa y tro hwn:

Oherwydd y ffaith nad yw’r aelod o staff positif wedi bod yn yr ysgol ers dydd Mawrth 6 Hydref, ac nad oedd yn yr ysgol ddydd Llun, ac nad oedd yn dangos unrhyw symtomau pan oedd yn yr ysgol ddiwethaf, yna dim ond criw penodol o ddisgyblion blwyddyn 8 sydd angen hunanynysu. Nid oes unrhyw symtomau ar unrhyw ddisgyblion ar hyn o bryd, felly rydyn ni’n gobeithio y bydd modd i bawb ddychwelyd yn holliach ar ôl eu cyfnod o hunanynysu ar 21 Hydref.

Rydyn ni wedi astudio cynllun eistedd pob gwers berthnasol o ddydd Mawrth ac wedi mesur y pwyntiau angenrheidiol yn y dosbarthiadau er mwyn gweld pwy oedd o fewn y 2m o radiws er mwyn gorfod hunanynysu. Mae’r disgyblion perthnasol wedi cael gwybod ac mae eu rhieni wedi’u casglu yn ystod y prynhawn fel nad oedd un ohonynt wedi mynd adref ar y bws. Hoffem ddiolch i’r holl rieni am eu cydweithrediad parod gyda’r ysgol y pnawn ma. Rydych chi wedi gwneud ein gwaith ni dipyn yn haws.

Mae’r awdurdodau’n hollol gytûn nad oes angen i ni ofyn i flwyddyn 8 i gyd hunanynysu ar yr achlysur hwn, oherwydd y camau sy’n cael eu cymryd yn feunyddiol ym Mro Edern er mwyn amddiffyn staff a disgyblion fel ei gilydd. Os yw eich plentyn ym mlwyddyn 8 ac nad ydych wedi clywed gan yr ysgol heddiw, yna mae Bro Edern ar agor i chi, fel arfer, fore Llun.

Cofiwch fod yn wyliadwrus o’r symtomau, ac os oes unrhyw un yn y cartref yn dangos symtomau, cofiwch fod angen i bawb yn eich tŷ hunanynysu nes bod prawf negyddol neu gyngor meddygol wedi’i dderbyn.

Hoffwn ddiolch i chi fel rhieni unwaith eto am eich cefnogaeth gadarn i’r ysgol. Mae mwyafrif y disgyblion yn cofio dod â mwgwd i’r ysgol ac mae bron pawb yn cofio mynd ar hyd y llwybr un ffordd o amgylch yr ysgol. Mae’r mesurau hyn yn rhan allweddol o’n hymdrechion fel ysgol i leihau’r niferoedd sy’n trosglwyddo COVID-19 o fewn y sir. Diolch i chi fel rhieni am atgoffa’ch plant yn gyson am bwysigrwydd y rheolau hyn a’u hannog i’w dilyn ar bob achlysur.

Mae’r sefyllfa yn yr ysgol yn glir – gallai cael disgyblion yn gwisgo mygydau’n iawn yn y coridor, yn golchi a diheintio dwylo a dilyn y system un ffordd olygu’r gwahaniaeth rhwng ambell ddisgybl yn hunanynysu a blwyddyn gyfan yn gorfod gwneud.

Mwynhewch eich penwythnos

Pob dymuniad da

Dear All

A quick message with the latest from Bro Edern on a cold Friday afternoon. I hope you’re all well.

We were notified this morning that one learning support assistant has tested positive for COVID-19. This member of staff works with year 8. We have followed the Track and Trace guidelines carefully and have worked with the county and the experts at Public Health Wales to protect the whole Bro Edern family.

The situation this week:

Due to the fact that the positive member of staff has not been in school since Tuesday 6 October, that he was not in school on Monday, and also that he was not showing symptoms when he was last in school, only a specific group of year 8 pupils needs to self isolate. We are pleased to note that no pupils are currently showing symptoms, therefore we hope that all pupils will be able to return to school in full health after their period of self isolation on 21 October.

We have studied every relevant seating plan from Tuesday’s six lessons and have measured the necessary points in the classrooms in order to check who was within the 2m radius and has to self isolate. The relevant pupils have been notified and their parents have collected them during the afternoon so that they did not need to travel home by bus. We would like to thank all the group of year 8 parents for your cooperation with the school this afternoon. You have made our work significantly easier.

The authorities are entirely in agreement that we do not need to ask all of year 8 to self isolate on this occasion, because of the daily actions being taken at Bro Edern to protect staff and pupils alike. If your child is in year 8 and you have not been contacted by the school today, then Bro Edern is open for you, as usual, on Monday.

Please be vigilant of the symptoms, so if anyone in your home shows any COVID-19 symptoms, please remember that everyone in your home needs to self isolate until you receive a negative result or further medical advice.

I would like to thank you as parents once again for your unwavering support of the school. Most pupils remember to bring a mask to school and almost everyone remembers to follow the one way system around the school. These measures are a key part of our effort as a school to reduce COVID-19 transmission within the county. Thanks to you as parents for constantly reminding your children of the importance of these rules and encouraging them to follow them at all times.

The situation in school is clear – pupils wearing masks properly in the corridor, washing and sanitising their hands and following the one way system, could be the difference between a few pupils having to self isolate and a whole year group having to do so.

Enjoy your weekend

Best wishes
