Bilingual blog – ENGLISH BELOW

Helo Bawb

Gair cyflym gyda’r diweddaraf o Fro Edern a hithau’n bnawn dydd Sadwrn gwlyb. Gobeithio eich bod yn iawn ac heb ddiflasu’n llwyr gyda’r tywydd cas.

Clywsom amser cinio heddiw fod achos positif o COVID-19 ymhlith un disgybl ym mlwyddyn 11. Cafodd y teulu wybod y canlyniad am 12:44pm heddiw ac fe roddwyd gwybod i’r ysgol yn syth. Fel gyda’r achosion blaenorol, rydyn ni’n diolch i’r teulu am eu cydweithrediad parod gyda’r ysgol a’r awdurdodau. Rydyn ni’n dilyn canllawiau Tracio ac Olrhain yn ofalus ac yn cydweithredu gyda’r sir a’r gwybodusion yn Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru er mwyn amddiffyn holl deulu Bro Edern.

Dyma’r sefyllfa y tro hwn:

Oherwydd y ffaith nad yw’r disgybl positif wedi bod yn yr ysgol ers dydd Gwener 25 Medi, ac nad oedd yn dangos unrhyw symtomau pan oedd yn yr ysgol ddiwethaf, yna nid oes angen i unrhyw un arall hunanynysu.

Mae’r awdurdodau’n hollol gytûn nad oes angen i ni ofyn i flwyddyn 11 i gyd hunanynysu ar y achlysur hwn, nac unrhyw aelod o staff, oherwydd y camau sy’n cael eu cymryd yn feunyddiol ym Mro Edern er mwyn amddiffyn staff a disgyblion fel ei gilydd.

Hoffwn ddiolch i chi fel rhieni unwaith eto am eich cefnogaeth gadarn i’r ysgol. Mae mwyafrif y disgyblion yn cofio dod â mwgwd i’r ysgol ac mae bron pawb yn cofio mynd ar hyd y llwybr un ffordd o amgylch yr ysgol. Mae’r mesurau hyn yn rhan allweddol o’n hymdrechion fel ysgol i leihau’r niferoedd sy’n trosglwyddo COVID-19 o fewn y sir. Diolch i chi fel rhieni am atgoffa’ch plant yn gyson am bwysigrwydd y rheolau hyn a’u hannog i’w dilyn ar bob achlysur.

Rydyn ni’n deall fod llythyrau wedi cael eu dosbarthu gan yr awdurdodau trafnidiaeth yn y sir i holl ddisgyblion y bysus, hefyd yn atgoffa am bwysigrwydd gwisgo masg ar bob achlysur. Cofiwch, da chi, roi mwgwd i’ch plentyn ddod i’r ysgol bob dydd. Mae’r llythyr gan y sir yn dweud yn glir fod angen gwisgo mwgwd ar gyfer yr holl daith.

Mae’r sefyllfa yn yr ysgol yn glir – gallai cael disgyblion yn gwisgo mygydau’n iawn yn y coridor olygu’r gwahaniaeth rhwng ambell ddisgybl yn hunanynysu a blwyddyn gyfan yn gorfod gwneud.

Rydyn ni’n edrych ymlaen at weld eich plant nol yn yr ysgol ddydd Llun – mewn gwisg ysgol a mwgwd!

Pob dymuniad da

Pennaeth

Dear All

A quick message with the latest from Bro Edern on a wet Saturday afternoon. I hope you’re all well, despite this terrible weather.

We have been notified at lunchtime today that one pupil in year 11 has tested positive for COVID-19. The result was released to the family at 12:44 today and the school was informed immediately. As with the previous cases, we thank the family for their willingness to help the school and the authorities. We have followed the Track and Trace guidelines carefully and have worked with the county and the experts at Public Health Wales to protect the whole Bro Edern family.

The situation this week:

Due to the fact that the positive pupil has not been in school since Friday 25 September, and was not showing symptoms when he was last in school, no-one else from Bro Edern needs to self isolate.

The authorities are entirely in agreement that we do not need to ask all of year 11 to self isolate on this occasion, nor any member of staff, because of the daily actions being taken at Bro Edern to protect staff and pupils alike.

I would like to thank you as parents once again for your unwavering support of the school. Most pupils remember to bring a mask to school and almost everyone remembers to follow the one way system around the school. These measures are a key part of our effort as a school to reduce COVID-19 transmission within the county. Thanks to you as parents for constantly reminding your children of the importance of these rules and encouraging them to follow them at all times.

We gather that letters have been distributed by the transport authorities in the county to all bus pupils, reminding you of the importance of wearing masks at all times. Please remember to ensure that your child has a mask each morning. The letter from the county says clearly that a mask is required for the whole bus journey.

The situation in school is clear – pupils wearing masks properly in the corridor could be the difference between a few pupils having to self isolate and a whole year group having to do so.

We look forward to seeing your children back in school on Monday – in uniform and a mask!

Best wishes
